インプラント審美-革新的軟組織のシェイピングと補綴的ソケットプリザベーション
解説:
A great challenge in implantology today is a predictable, long lasting pink esthetic result. However, constant removing and replacement of multiple prosthetic components has been proven to initiate vertical soft tissue loss.
An innovative clinical treatment concept to avoid tissue loss is based upon the non-traumatic and effective shaping of the periimplant soft tissue from the very 1st moment of implant insertion. Therefore, a "one abutment-one time" concept is the preferred choice for maintaining the hard and soft tissues around implants. Additionally, platform switched and sealed implant-abutment connections will be highlighted that can further prevent crestal bone loss and an apical shift of the mid-facial soft tissue.
A new concept of "Prosthetic socket preservation" utilized at the time of extraction will also be highlighted that simulates an intentional tooth re-implantation only without the root.
This presentation will demonstrate a workflow for oral surgeons, prosthodontists and dental technicians to achieve a predictable midfacial soft tissue level by an effective and atraumatic protocol.

DentalXP Video on Ipad and Iphone will be available in late November. Keep an eye out for the announcement. In the interim, download Star Fire browser. The HTMl 5 based Sky Fire browser supports Adobe Flash by a conversion process from Flash to HTML5. This is converted on SkyFire’s servers and uploaded and embedded in the user’s browser. This can be purchased at the Apple App Store or you can wait for the upcoming Free DentalXP App which is now only waiting for Apple approval. DentalXp will make the announcement through EMAIL, FACEBOOK and TWIITER once the app is approved and ready!!!

Very interesting protocol. Thank you.
Question:
Concerning the main case presentation "traumatic fracture of maxillary left canine" (around minute 55).
At the four month follow-up photo, tooth #2.2 (lateral incisor) has 1.5 mm recession and the patient has ground down a substancial portion of the distal incisal edge. All of this occurs in a 4 month period! It seems to me, that the patient will grind away 2.2 until he gets contact on the 2.3. I was wondering, Dr. Heigle, if you took this heavy grinding into consideration? Also, do you ever consider allowing some contact on the canine for "lateral excursion" in order to protect 2.2?

Controversies Surrounding Delayed vs. Immediate Implant Placement: Is There No Middle Ground?
This presentation looks critically at the literature and attempts to give clinicians a more flexible approach to immediate and delayed implant placement. Critical surgical guidelines and clinical pearls will be offered for both types of treatment as well as the management of some of the complications that may arise from immediate or delayed implant placement.

Determining the Cessation of Vertical Growth of the Craniofacial Structures to Facilitate Placement of Single-Tooth Implants
<b>Introduction:</b> Single-tooth implants are commonly used to replace congenitally missing teeth in adolescent orthodontic patients. However, if implants are placed before cessation of facial growth, they will submerge relative to the adjacent erupting teeth. Therefore, it is important to know when facial growth is complete in postpubertal orthodontic patients. The purposes of this study were to determine and quantify the amount of vertical growth of the facial skeleton and the amount of eruption…

Comprehensive Management of Implant Anchorage in the Multidisciplinary Patient
In recent years, dental implants have become an accepted method of replacing missing teeth. Today millions of implants are placed annually to rehabilitate and reestablish patients’ occlusions. However, in many of these individuals, the teeth may be in less than ideal position to accept the integration of single implants or groups of implants with the remaining teeth. Many of these patients could benefit from orthodontics to reposition malposed teeth to enhance the overall occlusal scheme. However,…
