Complete Dentures - Success by Design - Part 1
解説:
In part 1 of this series, Dr. Aldo Leopardi, a prosthodontist, outlines in great detail the necessary techniques required for successful full denture prosthodontics starting with the initial patient consultation. Preliminary impressions, custom trays, border molding and final impressions are also delineated. In addition, detailed laboratory steps, including tooth set-up on an articulator are described by both Dr. Leopardi and Charles McClemens, CDT.

I liked this series. I think it's important for members to review all the parts of a video series before making their comments or suggestions. This was very helpful to me and my practice whether we use implants as anchors or not.

perhaps helpful if you know nothing about dentures. not a new concept for the product they're selling.

Fabricating dentures is a lost art. Few dental schools are able to educate and provide adequate clinical experiences for students. Though this video is sophmoric it may be useful for the less experienced practitioner. The incisal table is useful.

Just selling a product.

The table is a useful tool. A guide to help speed the process of initial tooth set-up. However, only applicable to this articulator/system. Then minor changes can be performed following the patient wax trial denture appointment.

Absolute waste of time... what if the actual "customised" position for these anteriors when it is clinically tried be different?
Such "customised" blue-print for the position (A-P orientation) can be established MUCH more EASILY and ACCURATELY at bite registration by shaping(contouring) the wax rims (to act as blue-print).

Aesthetic Excellence Through Outcome-Based Treatment Rationale
The conceptual basis of restorative-driven implant dentistry is well established among clinicians. Its implementation includes the development of a prosthetic blueprint that will serve as a guide throughout therapy. While these concepts may be applied to prosthetic dentistry in general, their benefits are most compelling in the treatment of the aesthetic zone. This article demonstrates a systematic multidimensional approach for the establishment and incorporation of definitive aesthetic objectives throughout…

Using Air-Abrasive Technology to Diagnose
National Institute of Dental Research surveys indicate that the Incidence of pit and fissure caries constitutes a higher proportion of the total caries incidence among U.S. teens and children than in the past. Airabrasive technology may provide a more conservative alternative in the diagnosis and treatment of pit and fissure caries than traditional techniques using handpieces. The authors review characteristics of pit and fissure lesions and discuss methods for diagnosing and treating these lesions…
