Congratulations Dr Padros.
Great presentation.
My protocol is very similar.
I use 3M self etching primer in conjunction with Optiglaze from Gc for dentin protection.
I use impregnated cords and i dont protect the gingiva. I dont have bleeding but i must recognize that the gingiva did not look as nice as in your slides.
After seeing your presentation, i definitely should change my protocol and try your more conservativ approach.
Many thanks.

Thank you Dr. Pereira. I have made quite a lot o research on bonding systems. I published a book on dental bonding last year. We did not find any reason against combining both systems to get the best of each. We tested the system clinically, in vitro, and under the SEM and ESEM microscopes and found great results on all of the studies, but I have not found any specific works from other researchers on that. On the ESEM pictures shown on the video you can see that there is no sign of incompatibility. And clinically has been working great for almost 7 years now. If you feel uncomfortable about mixing different systems you can use the bonding resin from the SE bond. Thank you again for your comments.

Congratulations Dr. Jose Padros!!!What is the scientific evidence that supports the use of the Clearfill PRIMER with the Optibond FL ADHESIVE?? I really enjoy using both bonding systems in my clinical practice and always wonder if i could mix them like you do, but it is not common and how am I supposed to know if it works?? Thank You!!
