Ariel Raigrodski, DMD, MS |
Dr. Ariel Raigrodski is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Prosthodontics at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the editorial review boards of Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, the Journal of Prosthodontics, and the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. Dr. Raigrodski is a graduate of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Israel. He received his certificate in Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where he also completed a fellowship in implants and esthetics, and an MS degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration and other professional organizations. Dr. Raigrodski’s research is mainly clinical and focuses in all-ceramics and CAD/CAM technology. He lectures both nationally and internationally, and holds a private practice in Seattle, WA.
Education/Training
Dr. Raigrodski holds both a Bachelor’s of Medical Science and a D.M.D from the Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine in Israel. He also holds an M.S. and a certificate in Prosthodontics from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Raigrodski is an Associate Professor and the Director of Graduate Prosthodontics, involved in teaching, research, and administration.

Research Interests
Dr. Raigrodski’s research focuses on esthetic and implant restorative dentistry. His is involved in clinical research of zirconia-based all ceramic systems and CAD/CAM technology. His other research interests include computer assisted shade matching in crowns and translucency patterns in anterior maxillary teeth. He also conducts research on impression materials and implant dentistry.
Awards and Professional Service:
Dr. Raigrodski served in the Israeli Defense Force Medical Corps as a dentist with the rank of Captain. He has served as faculty at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry as both an Assistant Professor and as an Associate Member of the School of Graduate Studies. Currently, he holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He has received appointments to the Editorial Boards of several Professional Journals, including Quintessence of Dental Technology (Section Editor, 1999-2002 and Member of the Editorial Board, 2003), Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry (Member of Editorial Board, 9/2001 to present), The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry (Reviewer, 9/2001 to 12/2002 and Member of the Editorial Board, 1/2003 to present), The Journal of Prosthodontics (Reviewer, 2001, 2003, and a Member of the Editorial Review Board 1/2004 to present) and The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (Member of the Editorial Board, 2004 to present).
Dr. Raigrodski has been honored both as a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics (February 2001) and as a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics (November 2001). He is the 2004 recipient of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics Young Faculty Award. He currently holds membership in the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the International Association of Dental Research, the Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Conference, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and has held the office of President in both the New Orleans Chapter of the American College of Prosthodontists and the New Orleans Chapter of the American Association of Dental Research.
He has served as a member of the educational services subcommittee of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP) and currently serves as Chair of the Graduate Students Recruitment subcommittee of the ACP, as well as being a member of the Center for Prosthodontic Education Committee of the ACP.
Dr. Raigrodski is involved in giving CDE courses, lectures and hands-on courses to professional organizations and study clubs, both nationally and internationally. The topics on which he lectures include esthetics and implant restorative dentistry and innovative ceramic materials and CAD/CAM technology. Dr. Raigrodski lectured to the American College of Prosthodontics, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the Boucher Prosthodontic Society, the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the Spanish Prosthodontic Society, the Australian Dental Association, and to other national and international organizations.
Publications
Dr. Raigrodski has authored numerous research and scientific articles as well as editorial and commentary articles and book chapters.
